About ratemysite.ai
ratemysite.ai is a free website audit. You paste a URL, the tool fetches the page the way a search engine or an AI assistant would, runs 49 checks, and returns a score from 0 to 100 with a prioritized list of fixes. It needs no account and no payment.

Who runs ratemysite.ai?
The site is built and maintained by an independent developer. It is not backed by an agency or a venture fund, and it does not sell consulting. Guides and checks are published under the ratemysite.ai editorial team name so that every page reads the same way and can be corrected in one place.
What are the 49 checks?
The checks are split into five categories. Technical SEO covers titles, meta descriptions, headings, canonical URLs, robots.txt, sitemaps and indexability. Content and E-E-A-T covers length, readability, authorship, dates, outbound sources and trust pages. Answer engines look at direct answers, question headings, lists, tables and structured data. AI readiness covers crawler access, llms.txt and machine-readable markup. Speed covers the load metrics that affect real visitors.
Each check passes, warns or fails, and each failing check links to a guide in the fix guide library. The score is a weighted sum of the checks, so a single missing detail never hides a strong page, and a serious problem such as a noindex tag cannot be averaged away.
The category weights are fixed and public:
- Technical SEO is worth 25% of the score.
- Content and E-E-A-T is worth 15%.
- Answer engines (AEO) are worth 20%.
- AI readiness (GEO) is worth 25%.
- Speed is worth 15%.
How is the site funded?
ratemysite.ai is funded by advertising. Ads are shown on report pages and fix guides through Google AdSense, and they are always separated from the audit results. Advertisers cannot buy a better score, change a check, or influence a guide. The audit logic is the same for every URL.
Can the results be wrong?
Yes. The checks read the public HTML and headers of a page at one moment in time. A script that changes the page after load, a firewall that blocks the audit, or a temporary server error can all affect a result. Treat the score as a prioritized to-do list, not as a verdict, and re-run the audit after you make changes.
If you spot a mistake in a check or a guide, write to the address on the contact page. Corrections are published with an updated date so that readers can see what changed.
