How is the leaderboard ranked?
The ranking is computed from finished audits only, with the same rules for every site:
- Each site appears once, with its latest audit in the window, not its best one.
- The top list shows the 25 highest scores out of 100.
- A climb is the new score minus the score of the audit before it. The climbers list appears once at least 3 sites have climbed.
- Ties go to the site that reached the score first, then to alphabetical order.
- The live board covers the last 7 days. Each finished ISO week, Monday to Sunday in UTC, keeps its own page, which search engines see once it ranks at least 10 sites.
How do I get my site on the leaderboard?
Run a free audit from the home page. The audit checks 49 signals across technical SEO, content, answer engines, AI search readiness and speed, and the finished report joins the board within a minute. To climb, work through the fixes in the report, starting with the failed checks, and use the fix guides for step-by-step help. A new audit is possible 24 hours after the last one.

- Can I pay to rank higher?
- No. The ranking only uses audit scores, and ads never change a score. The only way up is to fix what the report lists and run a new audit.
- How do I remove my site from the leaderboard?
- Write to hello@ratemysite.ai with the domain. A removal request takes the site out of the reports, the rankings and the comparison pages.
- Why is my site missing?
- A site appears once it has a finished audit with a score inside the window. Audits that could not load the page, or that were blocked by a firewall, have no score and are not ranked.
